How many tapes?
We put up to 2 hours of VHS onto DVD. We can put more but the quality will suffer and if the quality isn't that great to start with, that's what we'll do. And, there's no more quality loss, when the output resolution is equal to what is being captured. The finished DVD will play with exactly the same quality in years to come. Treated correctly, its estimated that a DVD will last for over a hundred years.
